Glaciers & Icebergs
One of nature's most intriguing sights.
A mass of ice and debris, millions of years old, still moving slowly down a valley and eventually melting into a lake or river.
At their 'front' they can sometimes be quite ugly when the rocks and debris can be seen, giving them a dull grey colour.
But when the ice is revealed with its blue hue, the vision is quite spectacular, especially when this ice breaks off to form 'icebergs'.
The further up a glacier you travel, the more it looks like just another mountain scene, with amazing snow formations.
These images were taken at the Tasman Glacier on the South Island of New Zealand.
