All my images are printed in monotone format for two reasons:
First of all, I find it a challenge to create suitable images that can tonally work well in black and white. Secondly, I want you to appreciate the actual scene or object as you 'see' it but then to use your mind to 'imagine' it in full colour, using the 'clues' in the image.
Furthermore, each of the Monotone images is only available as a ONE-OFF original which can be produced in a size and format to suit the 'final resting place' of the image - see the buy prints page for details.
Furthermore, all my images are square which I feel enhances them, especially when viewed in an enlarged size, framed, and hanging on a wall. This shape also makes me think that little bit harder when I am composing an image so that I have to ensure it will 'work' as a square image, rather than in the easier, more conventional landscape or portrait formats.
